What is an Artist to Artist Mixer?
Here's the deal:- Its all about art - nothing else (including NCAG business) is supposed to be discussed.
- Each person brings one or two pieces of art he/she wants feedback on, plus something to munch on and whatever she/he would like to drink. Pieces of art are set up on a table and easels in the front of the room.
- We munch, talk and look up close at what people have brought for about 15 minutes, and then begin the session.
- Bruce Jones has been moderating. We have very simple rules.

Don't trash your peer's workThe artist chooses what kind of a critique he/she wants
such as...- I don't want any feedback, I just wanted other artists to see it.
- I just want to hear what you think about this single feature...
- I don't like it yet and I'm looking for improvement suggestions.
- It's just about done and I'm looking for finishing suggestions.
- Here are two comparable treatments of the same kind of thing - which is better?
- Please say anything that comes to mind about it.
- The moderator allots more or less time to each piece depending on how many pieces have been brought. If there are just a few pieces (we've had as few as eight), we might also talk about some related art subjects, like how did you get into your current medium. We've always finished before the three hours is gone.
